The installer and the program are digitally signed. When Windows shows the publisher, it reads Robert Vassov. If it shows "Unknown publisher", the file is not the one published here.

Check the file

Before you run the installer, confirm it is byte for byte the file published here. Open PowerShell in the folder you downloaded to and run: 

Get-FileHash .\PrivateACB_2.20.0_x64-setup.exe -Algorithm SHA256

The hash it prints must be exactly this one:

A different hash means a different file — do not run it. The hash is published with the same release on GitHub ↗.

To confirm who signed it, in the same folder run:

Status must read Valid. The name on the certificate is Robert Vassov; Windows shows it under the file's Properties, on the Digital Signatures tab.

Older versions

Each release is described on the changelog. The current version is the one to install; older versions are here for anyone who needs to reproduce an earlier run.

A database saved by a newer version cannot be opened by an older one — the program says so rather than opening it. Keep a copy of your database before you move between versions.
